Eton College's red-brick buildings and Gothic chapel at dusk

Eton College & Holyport College Investment Club

Sixth Formers from Eton and Holyport manage a charitable fund of around £50,000.

How the fund is managed

An analyst writes an investment paper, which the relevant sector leader reviews before it is presented at an in-person board meeting. The Internal Board votes on the recommendation. If approved, the trade is placed with the broker through the Club’s execution-only account. Trades and portfolio changes are recorded in the termly newsletter and annual report.

Holyport students sit on the Internal Board alongside Eton students. They research companies, present recommendations and vote on trades; decisions belong to the student board, not the external advisors.
